Stacy Landreth Grau, Ph.D. from the Neeley School of Business has been selected and appointed by Dean Ron Pitcock to serve as associate dean for
the John V. Roach Honors College starting August 1, 2023.
Grau is a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation practice, former director of the Idea Factory and associate professor of medical education at TCU’s Burnett School of Medicine.
“I am thrilled with her decision to join the Honors College and excited to see how Dr. Grau’s talents, energy and creativity will positively impact our students, faculty and staff,” Pitcock said. “I look forward to working closely with her. Dr. Grau’s strong administrative skills, commitment to the college and our mission, consultative approach to decision making and creative problem solving make her an excellent addition to the college.”
Grau has been an Honors College faculty partner for 14 years and is a former director of both Neeley Fellows and Neeley Honors. She has taught several courses including “Creativity & Innovation” and “Design for Social Impact.” She has also taught at the Tandy Executive Leadership Center where she engaged executives in design thinking strategies and the Burnett School of Medicine. Grau is the author of more than 30 articles and three books. Her research focus areas are design thinking, specifically for social innovation and social impact, and helping organizations and teams become more human-centered.
“Honors has been a huge part of my experience at TCU for almost 15 years. From teaching Honors colloquia to directing Honors theses to directing the Neeley Fellows, working with Honors has brought me personal joy,” shared Grau. “I am so excited to be a part of this amazing faculty and staff team who work tirelessly to create truly engaging student experiences.”
In her new position, among other responsibilities, Grau will facilitate college-level promotion and tenure processes; mentor and support faculty; liaise with campus offices while working on strategic initiatives; facilitate policy discussions among unit leadership; and coordinate professional development programming for faculty.
