Professor Stacy Landreth Grau accepting Professor of the Year award

Stacy Landreth Grau, associate dean of the John V. Roach Honors College and professor of professional practice, was named the 2026 Roach Honors Professor of the Year. For more than 60 years, Roach Honors students have selected an outstanding faculty member to receive the high distinction.

The award recognizes a faculty member who exemplifies excellence in teaching, encourages students to think differently and demonstrates a genuine commitment to their well-being.

Landreth Grau joined TCU in 2006 and the Roach Honors College in 2023, where she has made an immediate impact through her dynamic and student-centered approach. Some of her courses include Design for Social Impact, Life Online and Creativity and Innovation, where students are challenged to think critically and engage with real-world issues. Her areas of focus include corporate social responsibility, influencer marketing and social media, as well as innovation and design thinking.

“Dr. Landreth Grau’s career at TCU and in Roach Honors is nothing short of remarkable,” said Wassenich Family Dean Ron Pitcock. “She has earned distinction in the classroom by igniting a passion for learning in her students. Her power to make a lasting impact is evident in the way she connects learning to real-world issues and community leaders and designs courses that foster creative, human-centered innovation. She embodies the Roach Honors ethos through her unwavering commitment to helping students unlock their talents and discover their purpose.”

Students say that commitment is what sets her apart.

“Students are at the center of everything Dr. Grau does,” Roach Honors fourth-year Victoria Johnston. “Through taking her class, I learned the importance of curiosity and real-life application, regardless of the discipline. As a mentor, she has been a source of encouragement and advice. She makes students truly feel like they matter.”

Through her teaching, mentorship and leadership, Landreth Grau continues to shape the Roach Honors experience, helping students connect their learning to purpose and impact.
