Dr. Andrew Ryder has accepted the position of Visiting Lecturer in the John V. Roach Honors College for the 2021-22 academic year.
Dr. Ryder has been developing innovative Honors courses while maintaining an ambitious research program since becoming an Honors faculty partner in 2017. He holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature and a certificate in philosophy from Emory University (2010) and a B.A. in comparative literature from Bard College (2003). Prior to his arrival in Fort Worth, he held faculty positions in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and the Palestinian Territories.
Dr. Ryder will teach four courses each semester as the college looks to expand course offerings for the incoming cohort of Honors students. This fall, Dr. Ryder will teach four lower-division Cultural Visions courses, including Faith and Social Movements.
