The week before finals, inside the debate chamber of Scharbauer Hall, Roach Honors students gathered for two high stakes debates, each lasting over 9 hours. At the end of each debate, students would make decisions that would carry real-world implications and impact lives across the Fort Worth community.

On April 21, students enrolled in the Roach Honors course Genius of Hip-Hop at TCU
experienced an electrifying evening of conversation and live performances by Brooklyn-based
emcees Amari Mar and JS.Titled “The Art and Craft of Hip Hop,” the event blended musical
artistry with insightful dialogue, underscoring hip-hop’s enduring influence on culture,
