First-year Honors student Recognized with the National Community Champion Award

Ngan Dinh, a first-year chemistry major, volunteers at George C. Clarke Elementary with Reading Partners providing individualized literacy instruction to help students master the reading fundamentals they need to reach grade level. She was recognized with the National Community Champion Award by Reading Partners during their yearly benefit, One For The Books, in New York City. The Community Champion Award is the highest honor bestowed upon a volunteer in the organization. Staff and AmeriCorps members nominated tutors who’ve gone above and beyond in their service with Reading Partners and made a tangible impact on Reading Partners’ students and the Reading Partners community at large.
