Building Worldwide Connections: Honors College Hosts Visitors from the Netherlands

December 9, 2022

Members of the Honors College including, Dean Ron Pitcock, staff, faculty and students, attended the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) National Conference in Dallas in Nov. 2022. The theme of this year’s conference was “Centering Community,” which emphasized building and maintaining deep, lasting connections and fostering environments where students can come to belong and value difference.

To kick off the conference, the John V. Roach Honors College hosted students and faculty members from International Honours United. All the way from the Netherlands, they represented the following universities:

  • Hanze University of Applied Sciences
  • Saxion University of Applied Sciences
  • Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences
  • Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
  • Utrecht University of Applied Sciences

Dean Pitcock and Beata Jones, Ph.D., of the Neeley School of Business, spoke to faculty about the TCU experience. The visiting students connected with Honors Ambassadors over lunch in Milton Daniel Hall and toured the remodel in Sadler Hall. The John V. Roach Honors College was honored to invite these guests to TCU and build community with fellow Honors Colleges across the globe.
