Honors Colloquia Proposals

The John V. Roach Honors College invites all TCU faculty members to submit proposals for Honors colloquia to be offered during the fall 2019 semester.

Honors colloquia are discussion-centered seminars (typically 10-12 junior and senior Honors students) in which students and professors from diverse disciplinary backgrounds explore questions of enduring significance. The breadth of exploration fuels integrative learning: forging fresh connections among the theories, methods, skills, experiences, values, and realms of awareness (cultural, global, civic, metacognitive) that shape students as learners. Through conversations informed by intensive reading, writing, analysis, and experiential learning, University Honors students expand their capacity for collaborative inquiry and critical, reflexive, independent thought.

Vital details:

  • This is not just for new colloquia; everyone seeking to teach a fall 2019 Honors colloquium must submit a proposal
