Donna Schonerstedt joined the John V. Roach Honors College as an Academic Advisor in 2010. She has worked in the field of academic advising since 1997. Before joining the Honors College, Donna was an Academic Advisor in the TCU Center for Academic Services from 2006 to 2010. She enjoys helping students strive toward and attain their academic goals.
Donna graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Arlington and earned a Master of Education in Counseling with a Student Affairs emphasis from TCU. In the summer of 2009, she participated in a graduate study abroad program in London, England in which she studied postmodern therapy techniques. She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association and the National Collegiate Honors Council.
In addition to advising Honors students, Donna has helped lead two Honors Abroad trips in Europe. During the summer of 2010, she traveled with students to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy; during the summer of 2011, she traveled with students to Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
Born in San Antonio, Donna is a native Texan who has lived in the Fort Worth area since 1988. In her free time, Donna enjoys traveling, visiting museums, and spending time with family and friends.
