Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in the John V. Roach Honors College at Texas Christian University
The John V. Roach Honors College at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the College’s core interdisciplinary faculty beginning August 2019.
The successful candidate will possess a commitment to ongoing interdisciplinary research and course development, a record of exemplary undergraduate teaching, and a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in one of the following areas:
- Education (particularly Gifted/Honors Education or Curriculum/Instruction)
- Fine Arts
- Public Health/Health Sciences
Prior honors teaching experience is highly valued, as is engagement with issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, or global citizenship.
A private, secular institution of 10,000 students located in the nation’s fourth-largest metropolitan area, TCU is a selective teaching and research university with emerging interdisciplinary programs in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies and Women and Gender Studies to which the holder of this position could contribute.
Teaching load is 2/2. Salary is competitive.
Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in one of the aforementioned (or closely related) areas, at least two years of full-time teaching at four-year colleges or universities, and demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching.
