Important Dates:

May 1: Deadline for enrollment deposit and Honors College acceptance form via your my.tcu.edu portal; The Office of Housing & Residence Life will email housing application instructions to students on or around this date.
June 3: Deadline for online housing application (available through my.tcu.edu)
July: Office of Housing & Residence Life begins notifying students with housing assignments

How do I sign up to live in Milton Daniel Hall?

  1. Pay your $900 enrollment deposit by May 1 through the online link at my.tcu.edu. See further instructions in your TCU Admission packet.
  2. Accept your invitation to join the John V. Roach Honors College by May 1 through the online link at my.tcu.edu. See further instructions in your Honors invitation packet.
  3. The Office of Housing & Residence Life will email you on/around May 1 with instructions on how to submit your housing application (online). You must submit the housing application and indicate you are a member of the John V. Roach Honors College before the application closes on June 3.

How do I make the $900 enrollment deposit?
Pay through the online link at my.tcu.edu. See your TCU Admission packet for more specific instructions.

Is there a possibility I won’t get into Milton Daniel Hall, even if I pay my enrollment deposit and complete the online application on time?
Yes. Because space is limited in Milton Daniel, there is the possibility that you will not be assigned to Milton Daniel Hall. Bringing in a new class of students is a bit of an art and a bit of a science, and we do not know from year to year exactly how many students will decide to attend TCU and accept our invitation to join the John V. Roach Honors College. Should there be more incoming Honors students than space in Milton Daniel Hall, assignments will be based on a lottery system. In the past we have been able to place most, if not all, incoming Honors students in Milton Daniel Hall.

Who will notify me of my housing assignment?
The Office of Housing and Residence Life, not the Honors College, will notify you of your room assignment beginning in July and on a continuous basis throughout the summer.

How big are the rooms?
Each room is slightly different, but in general, doubles are approximately 10’x 12’. Triples are larger.

What size are the beds?
All doubles and triples (rooms in the garden-level, 1st, and 2nd floors) have XL twin beds.

Can I live in Milton Daniel Hall with a non-Honors roommate?
Milton Daniel is only open to students in the Honors College. Year after year, living with Honors peers has proven to provide TCU Honors students with both academic support and fun.

What if I want/need to live in a residence hall other than Milton Daniel?
For extenuating circumstances, the Honors College will consider requests to live in a different residence hall or have a non-Honors roommate in Milton Daniel if space is available. Email Lauren Nixon at l.e.nixon@tcu.edu to request the link for the Milton Daniel Exception Request form.
